can porn sites with the address containing things like ...com/profile, or ...com/pay show up from a virus or do you have to have been there for something?

It won't show up in the history. I suppose it is possible for one to generate a fake history. But I've never heard of one like that.

Any search hijacker or proxy could redirect you to one. Then it would show in the history. Although that is unlikely. As most redirects are meant to milk advertising revenue from advertisers. More malicious ones try to send you to fake banking/financial sites to nab your login info.

There could be remnants from ad-trackers that would leave such things. However, the most likely cause (not a virus) is actually visiting questionable sites.

What specifically are you trying to determine?

Im trying to figure out if im being snowballed or not. Claims that our ip address has been hijacked and that's why multiple devices have the same porn on them. (laptop, tablet, cell phone) however my laptop and phone have none of this. If its the ip address hacked, wouldn't all devices have the same stuff showing up on them?

It really doesn't work like that. You have a single IP address that communicates to/from the Internet (this external address is managed by your router). Your internal devices all have different internal IPs.

More likely is that you have multiple devices accessing the same common sites, thus the apparent trail of questionable content.

Understood. That isn't how this works.

You can also access your router (assuming you have logging enabled) as see what devices are connecting to what sites, and when that occurred.

Which brings us back to our earlier jokes-that-also-aren't-jokes. I'm guessing that person likes the naughty sites and is too embarrassed to admit it when confronted with evidence.

That also sites like those will cause pop up ads containing malware that will lead straight to a trojan horse.
Out of all the infections in the world you don't want a trojan horse problem.
If the antivirus or antimalware system picks up on something while you are browsing through porn land.
It will tell you if the infection tries to get into your computer, eset av is really good at sniffing through sites like those.
