Porsche design LaCie hard drive won't power up

My 2TB Porsche design hard drive is not turning on. I can feel it spinning, but the light doesn't come on, and my computer, laptop and TV do not recognise it anymore.
I cannot see a way of opening the casing. Is my data able to be retrieved? I'm not too tech savvy, so please, keep explanations simple. ;-)

USB 3.0 connection cable? Try another known working USB cable.

Check the User Guide/Manual to see what the light (or lack of the light) may indicate.
