Port Forwarding is not working, I'm at a total loss

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm trying to forward ports to my PC so I can host a Space Engineers server. The port forwarding is not working, and I don't understand why.

I have 2 routers. We only connect to our second router, the first router is that crappy modem/router arris brand from TimeWarner.

The first is the Arris TG862. I have it set to a DMZ to my second router.
The second router is a Nighthawk R7000. I have forwarded all required ports for my server. Port 8766 for Steam, and port 27016 for Space Engineers. My computer is set on a static IP so that I don't have to change port forwarding settings.

I also allowed rules in my Windows Firewall for the ports. I do not have any other firewall currently.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try to do next? I am at a total loss here.

How exactly is the second router connected to the first? Assuming you are using the WAN port of the second router (since you are port forwarding through this router), do you have the WAN IP of the seconder router in the DMZ of the first?

Having two routers cascaded will complicate things a bit. I'd recommend testing first through only the Arris to confirm successful communication on those ports. Since you are using the DMZ in this router, you might very briefly test with your PC's IP in the DMZ.

You might also consider putting the Arris in bridge mode so that the public IP is assigned to the second router.
