I found this thread but I can't find a device under network infrastructure that has Properties on it. (step 1)
gVtJ6v4.png

Using windows 8.1

I tried port forwarding by adding ports/ips on 192.168.1.1 but it didn't change it very much. I made my IP static with a program (port forward).

Router model: ZTE ZXHN H208N

Solution
By the looks your local ip goes in that highlighted field. (you got it correct)

Try checking the 'enable' box at the very top. (not sure if its a on/off switch for all rules or it just tells the individual rule to be active)

I'm not entirely sure, since your router is a little different to mine, but it might also be worth trying to add your external ip (the one you show to the internet) to the blank fields too.

Also I ant you to enable 'UPnP' if it isn't already, this should automatically do the port forwarding for you when it's requested.

If all else fails. (this should be a final resort)
add your local ip to the 'DMZ Host'. this will put the computer you nominate into a very special area where it will be opened to ALL ports on the...
I'm a little unclear of what you're trying to do here.

Your screen shot shows your local area network or LAN. port forwarding is not going to do anything for your LAN.

Secondly, you do not need to use a program to give yourself a static i.p. you can do this with windows network adapter properties.

And finally, you apply your port forwarding rules while you are logged into your modem/router, and you assign the port forward to your computers static i.p address. you might have to restart the device after applying the new rules for it to take affect.

I hope that clears things up a little, if not i'll do my best to help out.

You can explain this part to me like i'm five years old

I was trying to set it up after I logged in but nothing. Also if you could give a few screenshots that would be awesome as well.

this is tricky since every router is going to have its own ui and layout.

in anew browser tab, navigate to this address.

192.168.1.1

This will allow you access to your router, from here you will be looking for 'wan settings' or 'virtual server' it might have a few different names.

You want to find a section that will usually be labled 'port forwarding' or 'virtual server' you should now see a few empty boxes for you to fill out.

Service name: give a name to your new rule, maybe add the name of the game that this rule is for to keep it easy.

port range: this is the ports that you want to be opened, for example, port 3074 would go in the field.

local i.p.: here you put in the computers address that you want this rule to apply too. you would put your computers static i.p in this field.

local port: you don't need to worry about

protocol: UDP or TCP, usually you want to use Both if available, or unless otherwise mentioned.

Ifi you can't make sence of my rubbish, try this webpage. it helped me alot way back in learning how to port forward, so I could host online games for friends.

http://portforward.com/

Hope that helped a little.

If you are tying to forward for a game, try host a game online, and if people can join your game, that usually means you did it. This is the easiest and best method to test I find.

I don't trust the websites that claim to check your ports, they don't work. it will almost always report a blocked port, even when I know i've made a rule for it.

Theres not many ways to test or view your open ports other than by trying to use it.

Solution
It is enabled (that green checkmark down there). Utorrent now says that my network is OK even though it says port isn't open. (just to clarify not using torrent for pirating just to download apricity OS)

When this started around 3 days ago also my internet speed got reduced. That I will solve with my ISP. Thanks for all the help warhead, this is solved now.

That enable one is just for creating new rules. If you want to enable/disable the existing one you should go to edit on the right side of the rule.
