Hello,

I am trying to make my website available from internet but it is not working. I have setup the port forwarding correctly (atleast I think so):

2. I clicked on "Fowarding"

3. Here are my settings in Port forwarding:

4. And also my host machine is selected:

And also this is my internal port configured in IIS:

When I type in my local ip address and port 192.168.1.2:92 I can see my website perfectly fine.

Next my windows firewall is all off just so I can be sure it is not interfering at the moment:

My router firewall is also disabled and also DMZ is ticked unchecked:

Further I also went to https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ to check if port 92 is open and it said port 92 is open.

I asked ISP if they have blocked anything and they are clueless. How do I fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there is not normally an adjustable setting in consumer routers to change the NAT loopback status. Also, manufacturers don't advertise router loopback capabilities, so it would be difficult to recommend a router that might work for you.

In your application it seems that continuing to use the private IP address to access the web server in the local environment should work fine.

Are you using the 122.x.x.x:92 address to access your web server, or do you have a DDNS address?

Also, are you trying to access the server from outside of your network? This is important, because some routers do not allow NAT loopback (hairpinning), e.g. trying to access your own web server using the public IP or URL from inside your LAN.

edit: You can try accessing the website from a mobile phone (with wifi disabled on the phone).

You are spot and ultra knowledgeable! I tried to access it from outside network and it indeed worked. How do I fix this? This is not acceptable to me as I am doing some development and need to access from my machine itself. Any setting perhaps to allow hairpinning? I am open to buying a new router if there is no solution to it.

Please share your valuable opinion.
