I have a Haswell desktop with a RX 580, ran Cyberlink's Ultra HD adviser, and my system comes up short.

Apparently I need
(a) Intel SGX
(b) Advanced Protected A/V Path

Reportedly, the LG BP60NB10 can play UHD discs, but reviewers say to do that, it needs SGX, HDMI 2.0a, and HDCP 2.2 support.

There's a seller on Ebay who is selling flashed LG WH14NS40 external drives that are guaranteed at least to read, if not necessarily play, UHD discs.

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. It has an 1824p display with 267 ppi. Near 4K. Such a lovely screen, and yet I, while I have not run the adviser yet on that unit, I suspect I will come up short there as well.

Indeed, does anyone know if the latest model, the Surface Pro 7, works with a UHD disc drive?

Does anyone have any kind of setup, laptop or desktop, on which they do play UHD discs?
