Portable Hard Drive showing up weird

I am really tech stupid so sorry lol I have windows 7 & a pc

I have a toshiba portable harddrive that has all of my stuff on it. I use it fairly often. Just 2 days ago I was using it fine. Today I plug it into my computer & it didn't pop up in the same way it normally does.

Instead of a large box with alot of options (I have no idea what all the options usually say I just choose open files) but this time it had just three options & instead of showing the name of the harddrive it just shows drive F.

It is also showing up as empty.

I am going to cry. I need help. I have no idea what to do.

Apparently my roommate tried using it on his xbox to watch a movie but couldn't. Could that have anything to do with it?

First, slap your roommate. Figuratively.

In the future, I strongly suggest that you get another drive and have two copies of everything. One that you use, one that you can fall back on if the first explodes.
