Portforwarding Only Working with Port 80 [VM]

Hello, so I recently have been using a Kali Linux VM. I have the network settings set to Bridge mode so I can port forward. I have xfinity so the gateway is 10.0.0.1 instead of the more usual 192.168.1.1

I have portforwarded before to my computer and tried to forward port 80 on my VM and it worked. But when I try any other port, the exact same way, it doesn't work. So to combat this, in the same setting I had Port 80 set as the start and end port, but I changed the end Port to 81, to see if port 81 would now work, and it didn't, but port 80 still worked.

Meanwhile, I can forward any port to my computer and it works fine. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

what service do you have running on those ports?
running the service is the first step.

check ufw status or systemctl status iptables
