Question Portrait Landscape Portrait triple; mixed rotation; 2019 amd nvidia status?

I've got a few game systems I would like to try "portrait landscape portrait" on. Both for games and for whatever else. I've tried eyefinity on an amd gpu system unsucessfully. Do I need to backdate to older AMD software? I've seen it sucessfully done on some YT vids circa 2015. What my 2019 eyefinity system does is flip the portraits back to landscape as soon as eyefinity loads up.

What about nvidia, do they allow this type of mixed roation use?

Specifically I'm trying to use some 27" 1440p as centers with 1080p's as portrait lefts and rights. Also would like to try a 30" 1600p in the same configuration with two 1080p's in portrait. Am I nuts or is anybody out there doing this? Seems appealing to me because 1080p's are a dime a dozen these days.

What's stopping you from buying three of the same monitors or 6 of them and then go for surround vision/eyefinity? Which driver version are you on at the moment? Better yet, just list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Including the monitors you're using and how they're hooked up to the system.

Budget is stopping me. I can't afford matching triples or sixes for all my childrens. Got to work with what I have. Which is loads of 1080p's and the few higher res ones. Figured it would be nice leverage the $15.00 1080p's for more immersion.

I'm on current amd drivers, and eyefinity dont work. I've got gtx1070, rx590, rx580, some others to work with. Old xeons as in my sig. I don't do first person shooters so fps doesn't matter to me that much. High settings doesn't really matter to me either. Don't really want to get into that discussion, but low to mid settings 60fps and I'm happy. For the record one of our game systems runs fine @ 4k on one of my 10 year old xeon with an rx580.

Tonight I guess I'll try the back date thing to see if it will work. All the vids on this working are years old. Like this '15 vid-

Anybody out there running PLP in 2019 that can chime in and tell us HOW they run it? Anybody? I guess windowed mode is an option for certain games. I could deal with that myself, I know some people wouldn't want to.

BTW the math on the pixels shows it should be easier for the GPU to drive than 4k. I already sucessfully run 4k on my older hardware so this eases my mind.

1440p PLP
4720x1440
6.796800 Mp

1600p PLP
4720x1600
7.552000 Mp

4k
3840x2160
8.294400 Mp

Here is a 2016 dated image of exactly the 4720x1600 config I want.

I guess 4k monitors going mainstream pretty much killed off the need for these PLP setups. So AMD dropped supporting it in eyefinity. Shame, seems like a really good solution.

Here is another example of one:

Just checking back in, LLL triple 1440p works fine with eyefinity, finally had time to test it. IMO the extreme edges are kind of a waste of pixels though. In gaming I doubt the edges will get looked at. Be much better with some small 1080p's on either side in Portrait... might have another go at PLP after reading up on using other misc software than eyefinity.

In any case FPS seems really good which surprised me. rx580 is no joke.

I have a 32 inch 1440 with 2 24 inch 1080p as portrait. I use a rx580 and the only drivers that work for correct plp is the 17.7.2 crimeson any other drivers will never. Load plp right.
