I have just received my PC from BLD and happened to notice the port are misaligned and mostly unusable. I am experienced with building and taking apart computers and I'm unsure how I should approach this situation. What should I take apart and how could I realign the ports on my IO shield on my MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC motherboard?

Solution
From the picture, it looks like there's a standoff (little black) screw in the upper left corner, but in the first pic, there seems to be one of the tension springs pushed out through the usb port next to the ps/2 plug. I'd say when the mobo was inserted, it was done so at an angle and that spring or whatever it is, is forcing the edge of the mobo down.
Cure would be easy, unplug the pc, hold down power button for 20 seconds, unscrew all 8-9 mobo standoff screws, gently pull the mobo towards the front of the case a few mm, then push it back flat and re-screw it down.

Thanks for the reply! Took me hours of frustration from two stuck screws and trying to line up the screw holes but, it worked thanks!

Yeah, sorry about that, but the alternative was to use a small flat-head screwdriver and try and pry it up from the ps/2 slot, which more than likely would have messed up the i/o shield, which wouldn't hurt anything, but bent is bent and there'd be no fixing that. No point in destroying something, just to fix something else.

On the bright side, a) it's fixed and done right, b) you've now had your hands inside the pc, which is more than what most ppl who own pre-built/custom built pc's can claim. It's amazing the amount of posts I see with 'help me, I want to change out a fan, but am scared I'll mess it something up' or similar.

Happy gaming 👍
