Hello! I purchased an Intel i7 7700k processor and I am concerned about the temperatures that I am hitting during gaming and other hard processes. I am using a Corsair H100i v2 to cool it and that is a pretty beefy cooler. Not overclocked at all. I am using CPUID HWMonitor to monitor my system's temperatures. While I was playing the new PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS, I was hitting temperatures as high as 90 Degrees Celsius. Should I be worried at all? Thanks.

I am hitting a maximum of 1.325 V when my temps are 90 Degrees Celsius and an average of 1.041

I am currently using the thermal compound that came on my H100i v2. Is it not good? It was just even so I decided to use it.

The solution that I found was I remounted my H100i v2 Radiator in the front of my S340 with the fans facing the wrong direction so I remounted it. Now my temps are high 60s and low 70s on heavy load.

Would you recommend your Noctua Air Cooler? And those are the exact same temperatures I am getting now.

7700K's are not known for being the coolest CPUs around, to be sure....

But, I am more than happy /content with the typical 53C temps under normal loading(during virus scan, for example), and 72 under heaviest Prime95 loads...

I'd say you likely won't see an improvement by switching, and , would just call it a day, beyond perhaps ensuring you are using a very thin film of a quality thermal compound...

Good luck
