Possible bottleneck in the build/ upgrade time?

Hello my first post here ever!! (yay) , anyway i have a PC buid with i7 3770k 8 GB of ram and 7850 radeon 2GB and I'm kinda concerned for my GPU, I'm starting to suspect it's bottle necking my i7 in gaming and is becoming outdated. Should i consider upgrading now, or hold out. My choices of replacement would be 970 GTX or radeon 300 series, but I'm worried about 3.5 thing in 970. Might also consider throwing in another 8GB stick

If you can live with your 7850 till the 300 series comes out do that, if not the 970 is a good option at this time. Another 8gb ram isn't a bad idea.

Indeed , also if 300 series perform well nvidia might adjust prices on products etc if power usage of amd is big , will go for nvidia

Will also add that you really only need more than 2GB of VRAM if you're gaming above 1080p on todays AAA titles.
