I have a HP Envy 700 currently running windows 10 64 bit
whats inside; 12G of ram, i7-4770 cpu with an Nvidia Gforce GT 635.
its super slow doing anything and i'm trying to determine what is causing my slowdown(consistent frame rate issues). the plan i have is to get an SSD (would it be beneficial to reinstall windows onto this as well as anything i play regularly?) and a new video card, the question is will that remedy my issues? what other information would be helpful? could it be that simple or am i missing something. Also I'm on disability at the moment and fundage is kind of tight. i don't need top of the line or anything just want to be able to play my favorite games with out further increasing my ailments. any help would be appreciated.

Solution
I would recommend a fresh OS install to get a baseline performance number. A GT635 is going to be pretty slow on most games. A 1030 or 1050 graphics card would improve things a lot.
