Hello people!
I'd like to enquire about a subject that has bothered me for some time now.
I built myself a an uppen-midrange system two years ago and upgraded it some months back.
The original setup was:
AMD Athlon 5000+
ASUS M2N-SLI DELUXE (nForce 590, I think, not sure, since I'm not at that PC now)
2 GB 667 RAM (Apacer)
8600 GT
Some generic 7200rpm ATA HDD
Current setup is:
AMD Phenom I 9850 Black Edition (2,5 Ghz)
ASUS M2N-SLI DELUXE (same mobo)
4 GB of the same 667 RAM
MSI n9800GTX+ (512 VRAM)
WD Velociraptor 10k RPM
While the preformace increase from the upgrade is noticable and I can run pretty much anything @ pretty much max settings right now, I'm planning to put in another MSI n9800GTX+ sometime in the future. My question is - won't the system with a relatively new CPU and 2xGPU be bottlenecked by the older MoBo and maybe the low Hz RAM?
Thanks in advance!
