Possible CPU bottlenck

I want to upgrade my PC that I had build about 6 years ago. My motherbord is a am3 so I don't really have much of a option to upgrade. If I were to buy a GT 1030 would anyone think it could be bottlenecked by my AMD phennom x4 ii 840?

GT 1030 will work fine. As long as you don't have 2 cores and lower than 3.10 ghz

power wise its a lot of sense. I hope it will connect nicely. Please make sure to check as old hardware + new gpu is not 100% stable.

It's a good pairing, I got one for my dad for his gaming system (same CPU) paired with 8gb of memory gaming on a 900P monitor. Games such as WoWs, America's Army & a few others run really well on med-high settings at 60 FPS.
