Hi,

This morning was the first time I opened up a pc (its a prebuilt Lenovo Y520-25IKL) to replace a GTX 1060 3gb with an RTX 2060 and swapped out a 280w psu for a 520w. After loading up a few games I was rather disappointed and figured out my RAM or CPU might be causing performance issues, so I'm looking for advice.

Currently I'm running the following specs:

Motherboard: LENOVO 36D9 (can't find more on this mobo myself)
OS: Windows 10 Home
CPU: i5-7400
RAM: 8GB at 2666MHz
GPU: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2060 Twin Fan
HDD: 1TB WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0
SSD: SanDisk SSD Plus 480GB + 16GB Intel Optane MEMPEK1W016GAL
PSU: Seasonic S12II-520W 80+ Bronze
Monitor: AOC 2260 @75Hz

Now in Far cry new dawn for example the pc struggles to maintain 55fps on medium settings at 1080p. In Anthem it often dips below 30 on low. MSI Afterburner overlay shows the CPU is fairly constantly running at 95-100%. RAM caps around 6,9GB.

Are there any CPU upgrades I can do without swapping out the motherboard?

And should I buy 16 gigs of RAM first and see if this solves some of the performance issues?

Thank you in advance for any kind of advice you guys can give on this subject!
