So my gaming pc has been crashing or at least I think it is defined as a crash. Basically what happens is if I am playing a game, this never happens if I am watching something or doing general web browsing, then at random time and days the screen will all of the sudden go black with no signal. I have tried reinstalling the game, my audio driver and my gpu drivers. I even downloaded the latest gpu driver to no avail. I can still hear sound. When this first started to happen I was able to just press esc and ctrl at the same time to minimize the screen and get my screen back. Then just enter the game to maximize it. Then this stopped working and when I pressed those keys, the sound stopped too. So I was forced to power the machine down manually by holding down the power button and then turn it back on. I would lose that game of course and a little of my rank because of that. So very annoying as you can see having to lose your rank due to something that wasn't your fault. I noticed that in event viewer I would get an error related to my audio when I looked it up. Then on days that I had no problems, I still saw the same error, I then realized that sound driver is not causing my crashed as they're no longer consistent with the time of my crash. Then tonight I found out that I could disconnect my Display Port cable from my gpu and then replug it back in to get my screen and game back. This way I wouldn't have to lose my rank or game, I would just lose a couple of seconds in game. However, the timing is actually convenient every time because it always happens right when I enter the match but haven't started. So I can easily replug it back in before the count down gets down to 0. I looked up what this could possibly mean, but couldn't find anything specifically to crashing and being able to just replug cord back in. So my guess it maybe the cord, my monitor, ram, or gpu. My gpu isn't overheating and my cpu isn't overheating. My specs is as follows:
