Hi!

I have a possible fix that I would like to share because I'm sure many of you guys are fighting this issue with Fortnite.
I literally tried everything on my decent system to fix this, but nothing worked so far until...

I launched Fortnite and went into game.
It was stuttering a lot, fps was constantly dropping to 80-120 from 300-400.

  1. Opened up Task Manager and checked the CPU tab and set it to show all cores (usage)
  2. One core was running at 100 % usage for no reason
  3. The graph of the core usage showed me that the line was at the top (100 % constant) so the game was forcing it to "not breathe" at all
  4. It was pretty obvious that this caused the slowdowns
  5. I disabled the "problematic" core for Fortnite (exe) from CPU affinity settings
  6. The issue went away instantly
  7. After a little while I re-enabled the core for the game again
  8. Problem solved, it was balanced with other cores and not running at 100 % usage anymore
I have no clue why would this happen, but... it didn't persist after this.
It's probably a bug or an issue caused by the game itself.

Hopefully this helps someone.
