Possible Graphics Card Overheating?

I've been getting some odd problems with my computer and I'm not sure what is up.

I installed Planetside 2 recently but after around 10/15 minutes of playing it my screen goes black and the 'no signal being received' box shows up as if I'd turned my computer off. However the computer is still running and lit up but nothing brings the screen back on and I have to do a hard reset on the computer.

I am running a Radeon R9 280x boost. The temperature of the card seems to be around 62 before the screen shuts off.

Would temperatures like this cause the card to overheat or is this a different problem?

Thanks

My PSU is a Corsair VS550. Could that be my problem?

It could very well be. I don't know much about the VS series, because it's not sold in the US. It is designed for 240v inputs which we don't have here. However, doing a quick search shows that it is a very cheap PSU, bottom of the line. I think it's even worse than the CX series, and those are known as very cheap as well.

I don't have enough confidence to say that the issue is definitely with the PSU though. The 280x requires 32A on the 12v rail, and the VS550 supposedly has 42A, so it should work, but it's always hard to say with cheap PSU's. It could be failing... how old is it?

Well I only bought the system about 2 months ago so I don't think age would be a problem? It's odd because it plays every other game just fine include more graphically intensive ones (Battlefield 4 on ultra) the problem just seems to be with Planetside 2.

Thanks for all the help so far!

Is planetside 2 the most demanding game you play?

No I play more recent and demanding games just fine. Battlefield 4, Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite all run fine on ultra setting. This is what is confusing me the most!
