Hello everyone. I wanted to see if the computer I was recently working on has the right parts to operate with a Mac operating system. I just want to be real sure that it will work and hopefully there won't be any mess ups made when creating the pc. I can make changes as long as the power of the machine doesn't drastically drop. The machine that I'm currently building should last me quite a long time, and I want it to run the latest possible version of OS X. I will upgrade this pc in the future but for now I just want the computer I have to have no internal issues in OS X with the parts I buy. All prices set to my local area and are at the time this thread was posted. Suggestions, including to parts that don't work, are greatly appreciated!

I'm sure you're aware that the developers of Mac software intends it to be used only on hardware products made by or for Apple.

Are you also aware that Tom's has a strict policy in the Rules of Conduct on discussing the subject of so-called hackintosh?

I will probably have to rethink then again. I checked some posts and thought that the whole hackintosh business was allowed but I guess I'll stay with Windows 7 professional. I'm sorry if I didn't check the policy and the rules for a hackintosh. I'll go do that immediately. Thank you for informing me this.

Thanks for your understanding.

For the record and future readers, it's an Intellectual Property mater. Apple develops software for use on machines of its own manufacture. Microsoft develops software for PCs, laptops, mobiles and tablets. Mixing the two deprives one company or the other of the rights to their own product.
