Possible hardware failure? Getting brown screens with vertical lines

Yes I can:

i5 4670k
Asrock Z87 Extreme 4
G.Skill sniper 8Gb 1866Mhz
Gigabyte R9 280x Rev2.0 Windforce OC
XFX Core Edition PRO 550W

not sure if it's worth mentioning, but when the brown screen appears, the sound freezes as well (when I play games for example).. and then sometimes it just unfreezes itself, brown screen goes away. Usually the computer just restarts by itself.

Also, when I run Aida64 and do GPU stress test, it doesn't crash whatsoever.

Not likely to be a power issue then.

Do you have that CPU overclocked? The memory?

Have you tried updating your entire suite of drivers lately? Occasionally a Windows update will go out that doesn't play nice with older drivers.

That actually became an issue right after I overclocked my CPU. Basically, I saw brown screen to start appearing 2 weeks ago, when I overclocked my CPU for the first time...but it only appeared when you turned on computer and when "Asrock Extreme" screen should appear, it was just brown. It booted normally to Windows and everything was working okay, except for some blue screens, so I had to lower clock speeds on CPU, so I just decided to leave it on Stock. After that everything was fine.

Today, I again overclocked my CPU, but to lower clock (4.1GHz). Aida64 stress test went fine, tempereatures were okay. Then I launched Counter strike global offensive... and after 10 minutes of playing, brown screen appeared. It happened 2 more times, when I finally decided to "Load UEFI default settings" in BIOS, so the overclock would go away.... but the problem persisted. I got 3 more times "brown screen" when playing Counter strike global offensive.

EDIT: Oh, and to answer your question...no Memory is on Stock speed and my drivers are on "Latest definition"

EDIT 2: it happened again, this time first brown screen appeared, then I got blue screen as well, saying:
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (atikmdag.sys)

You keep throwing in new information, so it is hard to keep track of what and when things were done.

If you currently have everything in the bios on default, auto voltage for stock chips usually runs on the high side. That doesn't usually cause stability issues unless it is over temping the CPU.

Not sure what Latest Definition means. I would just check ASRock's website for chipset and audio drivers, as well as AMD for graphics drivers. If it persists, try out any available Beta drivers.

That particular error is related to your GPU. But the driver can crash due to system memory or CPU issues.

I'm sorry for throwing in new information, I just tried to provide as much information as I could, but didn't realise it could be a bit confusing.

What I wanted to say by "latest definition" is that I all drivers are up to date. I had AMD Catalyst control center Omega with the latest driver installed. Somebody suggested me to try an older graphic driver, so I'm just installing an older one at the moment. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's just a driver that's causing a problem and not a failing graphic card :)

I found a reason for all these problems. My CPU water cooler leaked. I just hope graphic card isn't ruined

yes, the water dripped from the reservoir to top of the GPU (on pcb). I cleaned it with 99% isopropanol, so the water evaporated.. now I'll test it again.
