Hey All,
I just got finished building my i7 based system with a EVGA Gtx 275 a few days ago and I finally loaded some games on my computer to see how they play. However it seems I may have some issues but i'm unsure. I mostly play games on a 23" monitor @1920x1080 resolution. But some cutscences appear very grainy in the graphics dept. (Mostly sims 3, sometimes with Civilization 4). I'm trying to play all games at around the second highest to highest graphics settings. When I'm playing World in Conflict demo the game itself appears to play fine however everytime I move the camera around, mostly up and down I get a line that looks like a ripple (Kind of hard to describe) that moves from the bottom to the top of the camera. When I reduce the graphics from very high to high it still does it, but when they are on medium graphics it does not do it as much. Its not a big deal but is annoying. The other problem I have is that in the Empire Total War Demo when I zoom in close to the units they appear to be made up of little squares and the shadows seem to almost twitch. It's hard to describe but I don't know if this is something with the graphics card or not. I was going to purchase 3dmark vantage basic to test the card and see if that is what it was but i don't know if I should purchase the basic or advanced version if at all. Any help is greatly appreciated, my system specs are listed below.
