Possible keylogger? I have 2 different options for internet in my home.. My notebook can connect and browse with no problems on one. I decided to upgrade for better speed & now it will not allow me to browse the web. We figured out that I CANNOT access sites I frequent (and use a password) - I CAN access all sites that I do not frequent. Example: Facebook - nope. My on line bank- Nope, other sites I have passwords for - nope. Any site that I don't frequent or log into - Yes. I have no earthly clue what the heck.. Please, if anyone has had this weirdness happen, help! Also, my first ISP hasn't been disconnected yet, and I can still connect/browse.

I have scanned and rescanned - had results in the beginning. Said it got rid of a bunch of mal-ware (med risk). I have read some keyloggers and the like can change your registry, too. Not sure what to do.. not even sure if this is the real issue 🙁

Solution
Download a different browser and use that to access these sites. If it works I think your 'profile' (where your frequented sites info(password) is stored) is corrupted or encrypted by the mal-ware you used to have.

I hope you have changed all your passwords and gotten better anti-virus.

I'm presently working on that. I may have found the issue, tho. I just uninstalled Zone Alarm, and it's connecting again.. hopefully that cleared it up. I know we checked all the settings, but I think it's possible that toolbar thing has something to do with it (?) - Going to keep an eye on things for a bit.. Thanks so much for your response, popatim :)
