Possible Large Heatsinks Issues on Asus Maximus and P5KE Mobo?

I'm currently looking to purchase either a Maximus Formula or P5E mobo (X38 boards) but i am a bit concerned about the space around the cpu. I have a Zalman 9700NT and it's a HUGE heatsink. I've seen it fit on the Asus P5K series boards easily because they have good spacing around the CPU, but looking at the layout for the Maximus and the P5KE i'm a bit concerned if it'll fit or not. Any owners of any of these boards can give me assurance that a large heatsink like the Zalman 9700NT will fit confortably within the mobo with no issues? Any opinons on weather it would fit or not?
