Possible malware infection taking all the CPU usage

Hello,

Last week I wanted to install a software from ThePirateBay (The software is Bias FX and it was the only place I could find it). I easily installed it, but when it came to open the keygen for the activation it started to ask me if I wanted to install some obvious malware programs which I refused. The problem is that those programs installed themselves even though I specifically said that I don't want them. Later on I uninstalled them with the help of the Windows Defender (yes, I know it isn't good at this antivirus thingie but up until now I was confident in my expertise as a regular pc user).
Today I arrived home after a week and the PC started lagging hard, especially when Chrome was opened (along with the fact that my internet is visibly slower on my PC than it is on my phone). Once I opened the task manager the computer started lagging harder, showing me that the program itself constantly uses min 20% and maximum about 50% of my CPU (but at any given time the CPU usage is at 100%) and when the Task Manager isn't at 50% other processes drive my PC to the max.

My question is if this can be handled without a Malware remover or should I download one (please recommend a good one).

Thanks in advance

Solution
"a software from ThePirateBay"
"keygen"

And now the system is all hosed up. As usually happens.

Poor PC performance is the least of your worries.
Currently, you have no idea what other crap was installed. Trojans, keylogger, etc, etc.

This is when you do a full wipe and recover from a full drive backup you made before you did this.
Failing that, this is when you do a full wipe and reinstall.
Start with ADWCleaner from toolslib.net.
Run that and tell it to clean and repair and then reboot.
Go back and grab Malwarebytes from toolslib.net and install that.
Make sure you go into settings > protection and select scan for rootkits.
Use their standard scan and then let it quarantine anything it finds and then reboot.

Report back results please.

I tried ADWCleaner and it worked. My CPU usage dropped significantly.
As for Malwarebytes I cannot open it since it tells me that I "do not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" while having a single user on this PC, the admin, and running both the shortcut and the .exe as the admin.

Thank you very much for the recommendation

Another update:

I scanned, repaired & cleaned my PC three times, and every time it keeps finding the same 5 problems, fixing the PC for about five minutes, then getting back to 100% CPU usage.
Any other ideas to solve this? 😀

Solution

Well I tried to do a System Restore from the point before I installed all that trash, but it doesn't let me.
I guess the only solution is to do a full wipe.
