Possible ot upgrade to new hdd

I just bought a bigger hard disk and want to upgrade to windows 10. Is it possible to put windows on my new hdd and have my old hdd as my secondary? Or would this cause issues?

In order to upgrade to Windows 10 you will have to have a version of windows 7 or 8 on it.

You can either reinstall windows on your new drive or clone your old drive to the new one.

While it is not generally advised just in case a program gets confused during install or in case bios boots the wrong hard drive, you could have both windows installations in the machine.
