This will be a PC I want to use for acceptable 1440 gaming. So I've never really purchased any used parts, is it worthwhile? I mean that price reduction is rather steep, meaning I can upgrade in a lot of other areas for my £800 or so budget while also getting a better GPU than I had intended. I've also never heard of that memory but it's 3600mhz for £20 cheaper than Corsair's. Anyone had experience of it?

One other thing I considered was the 2600 instead of the 3600, since it also has a big reduction and is going for £120? Thanks.

The RX5700 = Vega 64, but uses ~75W less power (power = heat = noise)

I'd go with a 650W PSU, especially if you choose the Vega 64 since you could be looking at 450W or more system power draw with that setup.

I'm not a huge fan of acrylic side panels on cases.

I noticed you don't have a SSD listed?

Indeed, I somehow missed that! I would likely go for a 500gb NVME M.2 the same or similar to the one you listed. I don't tend to stack up games - I tend to play one at a time and once I finish them they get deleted so should be enough space there. And I can get a Corsair/Seasonic 650 Bronze for a similar price, so that's not an issue. I have a huge blind spot when it comes to cases, admittedly.

It's mainly just that acrylic builds up static and attracts dust/hair and it scratches easily. Tempered glass has its [obvious] disadvantage of durability, but I'm inclined to think that's the lesser of two evils.
