Hello guys
So recently I have been having a real problem with my system. It seems that I have some kind of issue with my RAM. It only really affects playing games. I can play one, maybe two games (ex. a game of Battlefield 4, followed by some Dragon Age Inquisition) but then if I try and play anything else, it will run really slowly. The FPS will drop to about 10fps. Changing the graphics settings doesn't change anything. If I look at the Windows Resource Monitor, I can see nearly all of my RAM will be In Use or in Standby. I think that, for some reason, Windows is not releasing the RAM to be used again properly. I have tried using Rammap to empty various sets and lists. By doing this, it frees up a lot of space, according to the Resource Monitor, however, when trying to play a game again, the game behaves in exactly the same way. All of these issues go away if I restart the PC. But then as soon as I start playing games again, it comes back.
If anybody has any ideas about how to fix this, I would be eternally grateful. I'd rather avoid doing fresh install of windows if I can. So far I've tried re seating the RAM, but sadly this has not helped. I'll post my system specs below. Thanks
