Possible SSD Corruption?

Hi Everyone,

So I recently built a new custom gaming pc for Christmas. I am currently living in a dorm at college so i had my pc shipped from home to my school. I was overly careful about packaging and went crazy on the bubble wrap and what not. Today I received the package containing my pc and immediately ran it to make sure everything was still working properly. At first everything seemed fine. Then I noticed random files from my ssd seem to be corrupt (and I'll add that my ssd is my os boot drive). For example, I have Fallout 4 installed on the ssd and when I try to launch it, it can't find the file path. I noticed a couple other random things were missing, like my AdBlock on chrome needed to be repaired. But other things on the ssd, such as the operating system and GTA 5, still work.

The only other thing that seemed to be abnormal with the pc is my top exhaust fan is no longer running. I can't seem to wrap my head around why some files would be corrupt and others not. I'm not overly concerned because my system is still running games at its normal ability. I just want to make sure there's nothing critically wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cruey

Solution
I wouldn't expect an SSD to be damaged from shipping at all, especially like that. Best guess, there was a Windows Update (and maybe Chrome update), and it broke stuff.

Top fan is something that could be shipping. Can you spin it with your finger? Check it's plugged in.
