this is my current build, would it be worth just switching to atx and would that benefit future upgrades or be harmful to make the switch?

Since the B450M Pro4 has 4x DDR4 Slots, and it's a nice board, I would go with it.
I would switch if there were less than 4 memory slots.

You get a bunch of expansion slots you'll never populate....
