Hey, I currently have a PS3 and I'm also planning to buy another PC. I was wondering if it was possible to have my PS3 and future PC to use the same monitor and if so, I can use only one device, can I just change devices by changing the 'mode' on the TV/Monitor?

My TV/Monitor has two HDMI ports but one is being used for my PS3, one USB port, one blue port saying 'PC in' (I think that's VGA?), and I saw a small circular port saying 'PC audio' though this TV/Monitor already has built-in speakers.

Thanks for helping!

Yes you can but it depends on your tv/monitor most tv's/ monitors now days have a option to choose between different inputs like hdmi/dvi etc.

If your tv/monitor have 2 hdmi ports then if your gpu of you pc will have a hdmi port and almost all never cards have that so then you can just use the hdmi to connect it and have both your pc and ps3 connected with hdmi.

then if you want to play the pc or the ps3 then you just change what hdmi port to use on your tv in sources.

And yes you can have both the pc and ps3 powerd on the same time you dont need to turn the other one off, but you can only use 1 at a time on the tv/monitor. hope this helps
