Question Possible to Identify Components By an ID or Serial Number ?

I want to take my pc to a pc service so they can fix a problem i'm dealing with. However i'm concerned they might swap hardware from my pc. Is it possible to somhow keep track of my exact hardware components so i can check they are not swapped ?

This is when you document all the serial numbers before you take it.

GPU, motherboard, storage devices are generally printed prominently.

But if you're concerned about this shop doing that, why are you using this particular shop?

What sort of PC are you bringing in? Custom built, prebuilt, laptop, etc?
Serial numbers are a great way to check, many components like RAM or GPUs will have stickers on them.
Alternatively, if you want to be more secretive and secure about it, get a UV reactive paint and put it on each component (only a small amount, only in places it wont impact the component) and check the PC under UV light when you get it back.

Or, dont take your PC to a place you would consider to be that shady.

in my country these kind of shady stuff cand happen at any service shop...
is there some software that can show the serial number ?

i've also found an article, but not sure it's exactly what i need ... under device manager > (right click) properties of the device > details > hardware id ...
is this some sort hardware unique identifier ?

Hardware ID is not specific to individual device but to the family of specific devices. Back before W7 made finding drivers easy and automated this was a great way to find the proper driver.

Personally think that the blacklight pen mentioned above is your best option here. Hate to hear you have to deal with such.

well, it seems like theres a bios battery issue. i replaced the battery few days ago, yet i'm still getting bios setup window when there's a power shortage. i'm kinda scared a messed up the clip that should touch the battery on the side ( which would hold the battery fixed on other appliances, for example). when i replaced the battery, i pressed that clip to much, and it bent all the way down. Now even though i placed it back, i think it's not making contact with the battery, causing the bios setup window when there's power shortage.

in the picture can be seen that the clip (indicated with red arrow) doesn't make contact with the battery. as i suspected. i tried to move the clip inside as much as i could, then placed the battery, but still experiencing the issue with bios setup page when the power is taken off from the unit. didn't take and after picture, as i'm convinced it's not making contact.

however i would like a second opinion before i go to pc service , and also, if you can tell me what should I expect from the pc service to do to fix the issue ?

Take your photographs to 2 or 3 repair shops. Ask family and friends for recommended repair shops.

Along with just a basic list of the hardware specs:

OS.

Motherboard: Make, model, version)
CPU
GPU
RAM
Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full.
PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition.
Attached peripherals.

An onsite visit to a repair shop and some chatting with employees/workers can be very informative.

Ask about the cost of diagnostic work, labor, and parts.

It may be that all that is necessary is to get the clip back into working order where it will both make full contact and hold the CMOS battery in place.

No harm in asking questions and if they do not want to really answer or otherwise become vague - then go elsewhere.
