My B250I mobo comes with only one USB 3.0 header, and it is now occupied by the front panel USB ports on my pc case.
I wish to install a rgb controller, which requires a USB 2.0 header.
I read some posts about splitting the header for multi purposes, but I am not sure if its possible to have both the front panel USB3.0 cable & the USB2.0 header cable plugged into my 3.0 header. (or would it have enough power to run?)

Solution
Looks like you are out of luck with that motherboard. You might have to bring a back panel USB back inside if you have to have a USB. The RGB header can't provide what you need ?

Its an Asus Strix B250I
Yes I did referred to the user manual, but it seems not to be the "ALWAYS" case :pt1cable:

Yes but I got the Corsair lighting node pro, which I doubted if it would work (or it will just pops my led lights)
I guess I will just stick with the back panel workaround and see how it goes.

Read the manual and looking at the board pics on newegg, what is that unlisted header lower left of the cpu socket right above the m.2 heatsink?

Looks like a USB 2.0 header, but it is not acknowledged in the manual. Might ask Asus about it?

I am finding this, but I don't think you want to use it, looks like it is just a Y with all pins going to both, I think you would want to get one that takes a 20 pin to two 20 pin with 10 attached to either side.
