Last year (January) i made a desktop gaming pc build and i loved it 😛 But i was thinking that maybe its time for an upgrade.
So this is my current build
CPU: i5 4670k
GPU: MSI reference GTX 770 2gb edition
RAM: G.skill 8gb (4x2)1600 mhz
Motherboard: Asus Z87-a
PSU: XFX 750w core edition 80 plus bronze
Case: NZXT Phantom 410
Its from january 2014, I was thinking that maybe there would be time for an upgrade next january, at first i thought about doing SLI but since it has issues related to it, and since maybe i would have to get a new PSU which would make the upgrade as expensive as just getting a new card, i was thinking maybe its time to trade in my GPU
My CPU is perfect for now, didnt even overclock it yet, but my GPU i can notice it stutter with newer games, and specially because of the temperatures it hits (if i run HOTS at extreme for example it will constantly stay at 80-85ºC and cause frame dips), i have been running it on lower settings but my main concern is i really want to play witcher 3, dishonored 2, Tom Clancys division and all those new games coming out and i'm not sure if it can handle it
So i had 2 questions for you guys if u are willing to help:
1- Do u think its worth it to upgrade to a new GPU?
2-Which GPU do u reccomend? I have been looking at the GTX 970, not sure whats the AMD equivalent, my budget would be arround 300euros but i can maybe make it to 400 euros if it was really worth it
Thanks guys :)

I don't think you would see that much of a difference with a gtx 970 over a gtx 770. but if you sold your 770, the 970 wouldn't be that much money and would "refresh" your system.

maybe get some better/more case fans too? could keep the card running cooler possibly. also maybe get an SSD, that would help the system "feel" quicker. although wouldn't help with the games so much
