Possibly a scam???

I got a red screen with the message playing a message saying that I had serious issues with my netowork and they gave me a phone number. My grandmother also got this and they installed a program on her computer called webroot, is this harmful? the numbers are here for if they help

yes. any time it tell you to call a phone# is a scam.
install ad blocker like "ublock origin" for your browser

Sound like your grandmother need to reinstall the os.

Not "possibly a scam"....absolutely a scam.

Your grandmothers PC needs several things:
1. A full wipe and reinstall
2. Change any and all passwords associated with anything she's done from that PC. Do this from a different system.
