Hey all, so I changed some bios settings incorrectly and on restart my pc wouldn't post. I reset cmos by removing battery and by shorting my jumper pins but still nothing. And in fact now since clearing cmos, the vga light is on. Start up has the system come on and fans spin, but no display.
I've tried reseating ram, gpu, and clearing cmos multiple times -- still nothing
Specs are:
Intel b660 ds3h ac ddr4 board
I5 12th gen 12400f
Rtx 3060

Everything worked fine before I screwed around in bios, so a hardware issue in general seems odd to me.
Honestly it seems as thought the default cmos settings are preferring an igpu card over my 3060, but the 12400f doesn't have one so I can't display the bios settings

Thanks In advance

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

When clearing CMOS, you're advised to disconnect from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery and then press and hold down the power button or short the +ve & -ve pins for power button on the motherboard's front panel to drain any residual charge.

Is this your motherboard;

?
If so, the board has an onboard QFASH_PLUS button, use that in conjunction with info listed out in this guide. See if that revives your platform.

Apologies, here's the link to the prebuilt system I bought so it should have all the specs

Newegg link

I left out some of those details for posting purposes but I assure you I was clearing cmos as you described above.

I will try using that flash function later, that is indeed my correct motherboard. I'm currently unsure which exact USB port to use but I'll look into it later and update, thanks for the help so far

Well, after following all of those steps, no luck. When I hit the qflash plus button, the PC boots as expected, then abruptly turns off, all LED's and whatnot (the qflash LED) also off. not sure what's going on but it feels unfortunate.
