Postponing my Gaming Expierence

*I want to be able to get more FPS on games, recently i have been noticing that my FPS has gone done drastically losing about 20-50 FPS now, I am clueless on why this is?
*I am almost positive I have to upgrade something and I am pretty sure it is my Motherboard and CPU.

My budget is around 500$ !

Storage: 1TB Hard Drive

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Edition (64-bit)

A Z97 board is overclockable and you have a cpu cooler that is good for overclocking but a locked CPU that can't be overclocked so a bit mismatched. You also already have 8gb of RAM so you don't need it.

Do you recommend that I get a CPU that can be overclocked or get a CPU liquid cooler that matches my CPU?

Eliminate the DRAM as you already have DRAM and go up to a 4690K or 4670K
