Question Potential CPU damage

Hello,

I recently bought the Intel I5 - 9600k without knowing that my motherboard doesn't support 9th gen CPUs.

I only realised this after trying to boot the system with it, and am now wondering could the processor be damaged now? (current motherboard is also 1151, but Z170)
