Potential power supply problem?

Okay, so I have an AMD 8370 4.3ghz processor, a GTX 970 4GB card, 8GB of RAM and a 600W PSU that's relatively old (the other stuff is pretty new, bought this year.) This is all in a Corsair case with an added case fan, the basic exhaust fan, and a stock CPU cooler (Hyper Evo 212 is on the way.)

I'm experiencing a weird problem pretty much exclusively in Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline where the CPU is getting way hotter than other titles and after a prolonged amount of play, the computer is shutting down and won't immediately turn back on. It takes a few cycles of the power switch in the back to get her to come back on, even though the lights on the board are still on and everything seems to be checking out okay.

I'm also not getting any temperature errors on my end when I do successfully restart the PC.

I'm thinking this is a power supply issue, but it's odd that it's only happening in BF4 when I play other intensive games (such as Witcher 3, Grand Theft Auto 5, and so on) without experiencing the problem--it's only occurring in Battlefield 4 and Hardline. Is it an issue with trying to play on bigger servers? Not entirely sure, and sorry if this comes off as kind of dumb to anyone--I'm still in the learning process of PC gaming.

Thanks in advance!

what make of power supply is it? but yes I understand that is very weird and if I had a processor like that I would personally be running it on water, as it is also running at high speeds on the stock one atm it is understandable that it would be high temps so I wouldn't worry about that until you get the new cooler also it could be a powersupply issue as it is strange that it keeps shutting down, it is probably the PSU overheating as you do have very high wattage components however it is odd that it does not do the same when in other games which is very odd indeed but I would still replace the powersupply, possibly next time it does cut off feel how hot the PSU is?
