Potential Upgrade for an old computer

Hi all, I have an old computer that runs on a MSI 2a9c mobo, spec in link

Im curently running an Intel Core I3-540 3.07 Ghz process, AMD Radeon HD 5570 1gb Graphic Card.

I was thinking to add a SATA III SSD to the mobo even though it only offers SATA II? is there an adapter for it?

Also, what is the highest GPU i can upgrade this from but without bottleneck, I heard GTX 950 is the best way there is? or a Radeon R7 250?

SATA III drives are backward compatible with SATA II. No adapters required. (Although, there are some SATA II SSDs still available if you can save some money that way)

Those are both good choices for upgrades while avoiding bottleneck or most bottleneck. But the 950 would be the best of those choices if I were doing the upgrade for myself. I've never feared a bit of CPU bottleneck in some games at some times if it meant faster frame rates in games that were GPU-limited.
