Question Potentially stupid question about fans

I have this strange idea, where i would take out the blades of one fan and swap it on another fan (different manifacturer). Would all the fans of same diameter say 120mm be swappable?
I have plain led fans with transparent blades and i would like to put these blades in new fans with peripheral rgbs.
Mission impossible?

Most fans are friction fit on the motor shaft. They would be difficult to remove without damage and the shafts of different manufacturers may be different diameters or different spline patterns.
