Power Adapter use

Hello,
I have lost the power adapter for my HItachi XL 2000 2TB drive, but found a similar power adapter. that is very close in output rating. The one I have is 12vdc and 2.0 a. Since the original unit was rated at 12vdc and 1.5a, do you think it would be safe to use the higher amp rated one?

Yes, will work fine. When you plug it in, make sure there is no power supply whine though, if you hear anything odd, don't use that adapter.
