I am looking to buy a 5600xt. When I am buying from Alza (An EU store) it says I need a power adaptor to work in the uk. Is this true?

The graphics card plugs into a standard slot inside your PC, and require a power connector from your pc's internal power supply. There are no external plugs required so you are safe to remove the adapter.
