So I just moved all my pc parts, plus new parts into a new case, but the power button doesn't turn on the PC. I literally have to open the case and turn on the motherboard and make sure the power supply is on too. Is there any way to change that? like maybe i didn't plug a certain cord in correctly? please help.

Solution
Yes it sounds like you placed the itty-bitty-tiny single-pin power button cable into the wrong pin, or didn't plug it in at all.

Your motherboard manual has all the pinouts for "PWR" and "RESET", for the power and reset buttons on your case accordingly.

Don't worry those little cables are tricky.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Solution

Keeping you updated: it worked when i moved the little pins. Although there were like 4 two pin connectors, but when i plugged them into the power slot it lit up all the leds, i had them in a different spot. Thanks!!

Awesome, great problem solving on your part.

Enjoy your computer mate!
