I built my pc less than a year and a half ago and I just noticed yesterday that the led on the power button was off when my pc was on. I turned the pc on today and the led on the power button goes on like normal then starts to slowly starts to die out and after a few minutes the led is completely off. I have a corsair 200r, did the led just break in under two years? Can I replace it myself?

The hard disk led next to it works just fine right now.

Solution
contact corsair for a complete different front panel (with a new led in it of course).
that's the easy solution, probably plulg and play. probably not worth it because the 200r is pretty cheap and the mailing fee may be more than the case.
or if you are good with screw driver and other tools, buy yourself a new round led at a local hardware shop and replace it yourself for a buck twenty two and elbow grease.

it sounds like mobo front panel problem rather than problem with led itself because it lights up and then die.
try consult your mobo manual and reconnect the front panel pins. maybe you have the hdd led and the pwr led mixed up?

everything on the mobo is connected properly, I think the led is just dieing because even when it turns on it is very dim and nowhere near as bright as it should be
