Hey guys, I just finished building my new gaming PC. Problem is, although I can turn it on from the motherboard itself, the front panel switch isn't responding. All USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports are working. But as I said, the power switch isn't working and I just realised that neither is the fan control input pls XD

Solution
the ends of the wires ( the little squares at the end that the wires run into ) ............. look on the back. there will be a small arrow on the positive led.

also look carefully at the wiring diagram in the booklet.

if the power switch is bad......... pull that and use the reset switch for the start up button ( just to check of switch is bad. )
If it a nxzt case with a built in fan and on switch they get there power from the power supply. There should be a molex cable that needs to be plugged in. On the on switch a lot people screw up and put the reset wires on the on switch pins or reverse the wires.

I'm using a fractal design define R4, I got the fan cable to work by disconnecting the fans and to the cables on the case itself - really f*cked up that one. But, I still can't get the power button to work. It's plugged in on the motherboard.

Take the Reset and power switch off the mb. With the mb guild check the pin out guild for the mb. If the cables are not on the right pins the switch won't work. You may have to turn the case cable wire around to put the positive side of the switch on the right pin.
