Power button won't restart computer after sleep/hibernation

Hi everyone and thanks for the help in advance. Just finished my first build:
Cooler Master 922 case
Gigabyte 970a-ud3 mobo
Corsair Vengeance Ram
EVGA GTX650 TI Boost SC GPU

I installed a clean install of Windows 7. Have everything up and running, but noticed that after my computer sleeps or hibernates it will not turn on. I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse. Neither will wake the computer. The keyboard even has a "PC power" button, that doesn't do anything.

Even more surprising, pressing the power button on the top of the case has no response AT ALL. No fans turn on, no lights, no nothing. The only thing that allows me to restart the computer is by turning off the power button on the back of the PSU, turning it back on, then the power button on the case will restart the computer.

I'm at a loss of where to start and google has let me down. Please help.

I ran into the exact same problem with my system after building it then installing Windows 8.

THREE things i did that solved everything:

• 
  ■ TURN OFF HIBERNATION/SLEEP. Windows boots fast enough, and its really unnecessary on a desktop, imo.
  ■ Re-seat your Vengeance RAM, its sort of finicky. Trust me.
  ■ Restore your BIOS settings to default, reboot. Stress test, then tweak. ALSO make sure your BIOS is up to date!

I'm having that exact same problem!

Specs:
GA-990FXA-UD5 8350fx CPU
Corsair 750W PSU
Samsung Evo 840 120Gb/ OCZ Agility 3 120Gb
GTX 580
Kingston HyperX 1600 9-9-9-24

I have tried everything i can think of to make this work and nothing. I think it's the motherboard as it together with the cpu are the only things i've changed before getting this issue. I used to have an 880FX motherboard and it entered hibernation mode and got out of it with no problems.

There have been some instances where i have been capable of getting it to work by turning hibernation mode on and off in Samsung Magician, but after turning the pc off and on again it presents me with the same problem once more.

I hope there is someone who can shine a bit of light on this issue. As i am too at a total loss.
