Question Power button won't turn on

My friend has a problem with Windows 10. The power button got loose and it presses just fine but the problem is it won't turn on. He needs someone to help him make it respond because he forgot to back up everything from the D drive and he is going to lose my MacBook Pro if he doesn’t get assistance in the next week or so. Can you help please?

If this is a standard PC, he could pull the front cable for the power button and jump the posts with a screwdriver.

If it is a proprietary system or a laptop that may not be as easy.

I do not believe laptops have that provision. Take to professional repair.
