What makes is the 3080ti your talking about different manufacturers use different spec the msi 3080ti all I can find is a dual I'm not saying your wrong I just can't find anything that supports msi 3080 to needing 3 all I'm find is msi 3080 with two

The MSI Ventus only has 2 8-pins but the MSI gaming trio and x trio(aswell as the Suprim) models have 3 8-pins.

Where the OP called it the Gaming then it is most likely a 3 connector card. But it never hurts to verify by asking for more info.

@Patrick Castor Do you have a link or atleast the full model name of the MSI 3080Ti you are looking at?
