Power cable missing for monitor

Hi my power cable is missing because I just moved house and can’t find it but I found another cable which I thought it was the one for it but it didn’t fit and now I don’t know what to do but I have my TiVo box power cable and that fits into my monitor but I am unsure what will happen to my monitor, will it work or blow up please help me
